Robin Jacobs has coached in the Brighton football program since 1996 when the school opened its doors.

From 1996 until 2013 (18 years), he served as an assistant but for the last five seasons, he has ran the Cardinal program.

On Friday, Jacobs resigned his position as head football coach after leading the Cardinals to a 30-26 overall record and three consecutive Class 5A playoff appearances (2015-17).

“Yes, I have resigned my position as head football coach at Brighton,” Jacobs said.

Brighton finished 7-4 in 2016 and 9-2 in 2015 falling both seasons in the 5A first round.
