Neal Cruce has resigned after three seasons at Loretto.
“It was a difficult decision but I have decided to step down as head football coach at Loretto,” Cruce said. “I appreciate all the help and support from my assistant coaches, administrators, faculty and staff, cheerleaders and band.”
“I also want to thank the parents and community, athletic trainer, managers, filmers, announcers, and clock operators. Most of all I want to thank the players who believed in me and allowed me the honor to lead them. I wish nothing but the best for LHS football going forward”
In his three years of leading the Mustang program, Loretto posted a 9-21 overall record as they are still looking for their first playoff appearance since 2014.
The Mustangs finished 3-7 this season and the best year under Cruce was in 2018 when Loretto finished 4-6.
