Metro Public Health Department Makes Plea To Delay Play

One day after we received word that Governor Lee is allowing contact sports to begin practice (making it possible for high school football to start on time), the Metro Public Health Department is asking Davidson County schools to suspend play until at least Labor Day and “resume only if the key metrics for the roadmap to reopen Nashville are improved and stable”.  See the full request in the image below.

This muddies the water for every player, coach, and parent in Davidson Co. after seemingly having a clear understanding of the return to play after yesterday’s announcement from the Governor’s Office.

As news breaks, we will continue to keep you updated.
