Mark Hall will take over the Sycamore football program.
Hall was announced as the new football today replacing Justin Robison who resigned to be an assistant coach at Goodpasture.
Robison, a 2007 Sycamore graduate led the War Eagles to three consecutive 3A playoff appearances (2017-19) and they lost in the first round each year.
The War Eagles are coming off a 5-6 season as they lost for the second straight year to East Nashville in the first round and Robison finished with a 20-23 overall record at Sycamore.
“I would like to thank Principal Mrs. Dawn Wenning and Athletic Director Mr. Shelby Tinch for the opportunity to become the head football coach at Sycamore. I am excited about coming to Sycamore and creating relationships with these young men and helping them to achieve the goals that they are reaching for and to have success not just on the field but in the community,” Hall said.
Hall took the 2019 season off and served as the assistant athletic director and facility/athletic field maintenance coordinator at Rossview high school.
He was an assistant coach at Rossview in 2015 and became the defensive coordinator at there in 2016 and served there for three seasons.
Before coming Rossview, Hall served as an assistant coach at private schools West Memphis Christian, Ezell Harding and Middle Tennessee Christian as well as serving as an assistant coach at LaVergne and Christiana Middle school.
Currently there are four schools looking for a head coach they are: Austin East, MTCS, Whites Creek and Whitwell
