Levi Estes has resigned after two seasons of leading the Dresden football program to become the offensive coordinator at Lassiter (GA) high school.
In his two seasons of leading the program, Estes compiled a record of 15-7 and led the Lions to Class 1A playoffs as they finished 10-2 in 2017.
“I enjoyed my years at Dresden and I thank the administration for the opportunity, experience, an the memories. It was a bittersweet day telling the kids. Going to miss the kids, but look forward to the next chapter,” Estes said.
The Lions missed the playoffs in 2018 as they finished 5-5 on the year but they head into the 2019 season on a two game winning streak.
Before taking over as head coach, Estes was the Lions defensive coordinator in 2016 as Dresden finished undefeated and won the 1A state title.
There are currently 10 programs looking for a head coach they are: Bolivar, Bolton, Dresden, Germantown, Glencliff, Hardin Valley, Manassas, MLK Prep, RePublic and Seqouyah
