Cloudland Takes the Interim Tag off Potter

Scott Potter has had the interim head football coach tag taken off at Cloudland high school.

Potter, a 1994 Cloudland graduate who also serves as the Highlander Athletic Director has been promoted to head football coach.

“I couldn’t have had an easier choice then taking the interim tag off of Scott Potter’s title,” Cloudland principal Richard Church said. He is a committed Highlander that does all that is ever asked of him both on campus and in the community. I am honored to have Scott Potter lead our football program into the future.”

After Cloudland started the season at 1-4 last season, then coach Glenn White was fired and Potter took over the program and led the Highlanders to a 5-2 finish and a 6-6 overall record.

Cloudland beat Harriman in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs before losing to Oliver Springs in the second round.

Currently there are six schools  looking for a head coach they are: East Nashville, Fairley, Fayette Ware, Shelbyville, Whites Creek and Whitwell
