Brandon Usery Resigns at Bolton After One Season

Brandon Usery has resigned after just one season as head coach at Bolton.

“I will always look back at my time at Bolton with fond memories of my players and their hard work, I would like to thank (former Bolton principal) Bo Griffin for believing in me and giving me a chance to be a Head Coach but I have had some opportunities present themselves and at this time it is in my best interests to pursue those new opportunities.

The Wildcats had a tough 2018 season as they finished winless at 0-10 and were outscored 424 (42.4) to 43 (4.3) on the season.

Before becoming the head coach at Bolton, Usery served as the offensive coordinator the last three years at his alma mater Houston and started his coaching career at nearby Munford and stayed there for three years (2012-14) before coming to Houston.

The next coach for Bolton will be the fourth head coach since 2014 following Patrick Knight (2014-15), Dee Alsbrook (2016-17) and Usery (2018)

There are currently 18 programs looking for a head coach they are: Antioch, Bartlett, Bolton, Cleveland, Collierville, East Hamilton, East Hickman, Hamilton, Hillcrest, Hillwood, Lipscomb Academy, Lookout Valley, Northeast, Northpoint Christian, Polk County, Stewarts Creek, Tellico Plains, Trousdale County and Westview
