Each week we will honor a player that exhibits character, teamwork and leadership both on and off the field with the US Army Player of the Week. Congrats to Week 6’s winner, Dylan Anderson of Pickett Co. High School.
Dylan is a three sport athlete (Football, Basketball, and Baseball) at one of the smallest schools in the state. Only 14 players suited up for the Bobcats last Friday night. Dylan plays offense, defense, and special teams and rarely sees the sideline. He finished the night with 135 yards rushing, 182 yards passing, 4 tackles, a 47 yard kick return, and 2 touchdowns in a 56-30 loss to Sale Creek. He is the captain of the Bobcats and a leader of the team both on and off of the field. Dylan has helped the coaching staff prepare the field before each home game and is willing to help out in whatever way is needed. That is exactly the type of character, work ethic, and selflessness the US Army values and that is why Dylan Anderson is our US Army Player of the Week for Week 6. Congrats to Dylan and all of his Pickett Co. teammates.
