Each week we will honor a player that exhibits character, teamwork and leadership both on and off the field with the US Army Player of the Week. Congrats to Week 5’s winner, Kevontez Hudson of Springfield High School.
The Sr. QB was 10 for 14 through the air for 258 yards and 3TDs. He also added 92 yards rushing with 3 more TDs in the Yellow Jackets’ 48-24 win over rival White House. On top of that amazing night on the field, Kevontez picked up all of the empty boxes after his team’s “victory donuts” and stayed late to help the coaching staff fix divots on the field after the game. That is exactly the type of character and work ethic the US Army values and that is why Kevontez is our US Army Player of the Week for Week 5. Congrats to Kevontez and all of his Springfield teammates.
