T. J. Daniel resigns at Alma mater Cannon County

It was a tough decision but one that T.J. Daniel felt like he had to make.

On Thursday morning, Daniel resigned after seven years of leading the football program at Cannon County, his alma mater.

“It’s was a very tough decision to make but it was one that I felt was the right one for me and my family,” Daniel said.

Cannon County principal Mike Jones also confirmed Daniel’s resignation.

Cannon County offensive coordinator Mike Atwood has been named as the interim head coach.

There are 11 schools that are currently looking for a head coach they are: Blackman, Cannon County, Ezell Harding, Grundy County, Humboldt, Lincoln County, Lookout Valley, Milan, Raleigh Egypt, Rossville Christian and Volunteer
